When Apple first introduced the AirPods, I thought: no way, these will fall off. Nice ad, but no thanks.

Fast forward to today, and I think they’re the last truly great product Apple shipped. I love them.

The price, though / they’re not cheap.
And the case does its job, but doesn’t bring me joy. Fine.

These rubber sleeves for them, though / they make me smile every time.

The case is now always next to me, in my fingers, opening, closing / opening, closing / opening, closing / i guess you got it.

It’s such a cheap tiny add-on to a high-tech expensive product, and it adds so many layers / childhood memories / cuteness / tactile pleasure / protection.

Even though it’s just cheap rubber / in the right context and use case it makes a truly lickable product.
